A webinar series on careers in the Intercultural field, with John Lee, co-founder of CultureMee, an award winning mobile application for culturally minded business and leisure travelers. Having won the Global Youth Travel Awards’ ‘Best Travel Technology Product’ in September 2018, John is excited to share his journey into the intercultural field and the potential for intercultural work in travel and tourism. In this webinar, John will share his own experiences around the intersection of culture and technology, and his lessons learned with CultureMee. The audience will learn about entrepreneurship, a profession in innovation and technology, and the vast opportunities to be explored in the business of culture.

More about John: Having travelled extensively on business, the idea of providing information on the challenges of culture hit John, and his partner Dee, during a trip to Africa in 2015. So, they sold their home and embarked on an exciting journey to research the substance that led to the launch of their app in 2017. In that period Rosa, their daughter, was born. And, by the age of 17 months she had already travelled to 23 different countries, and they’ve recently welcomed a new global traveler, Esmé, to their family in March. Together Dee and John speak 6 languages, 4 of them fluently (English, German, French, Dutch). Both are from Ireland and are currently based in Leitrim, Ireland.
